Providing The Company with your personal information is an act of trust; an act that is taken very seriously in the way that Fondbites Ltd operates. This Privacy Policy will outline details on how information is collected and used. Information is also provided on how to change or de-activate your data.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 15/05/2018 in the lead up to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming in to force on the 25th of May 2018. Fondbites Ltd is fully compliant with GDPR.

Information we may collect from you

We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information you give us: You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, search for a product, place an order on our site, participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site, enter a competition, promotion or survey and when you report a problem with our site. The information you give us may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, financial and credit card information, personal description and photograph.
  • Information we collect about you.With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information:

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

Information you give to us. We will use this information:

  • to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and to provide you with the information, products and services that you request from us;
  • to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;
  • to pass on the appropriate personal information to any of the industry-leading payment providers that we use to process your payments. These include Smart Debit and PayPal. These payment providers, in turn, also have to be, and are, GDPR compliant. Fondbites never store your credit or debit card information. 
  • to pass on the appropriate personal information to our delivery partners who require it to deliver your order. Such partners include DPD, APC, Royal Mail and other fulfilment and delivery partners we may use from time to time. These fulfillment and delivery partners, in turn, also have to be, and are, GDPR compliant.
  • to notify you about changes to our service;
  • to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device.
  • If you have an ongoing order with us eg. Subscription / membership or show order we may from time to time contact you about that product or an associated item.

Where we store your personal data

The data we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any card payment transactions will be encrypted by our payment gateway providers Smart Debit and Paypal and are not stored on our servers. Bank details provided for the set-up of Direct Debits are transmitted via secure connections. Where you have chosen a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
